Spring Bloggers Swap
I recently joined a Bloggers Only swap at SCS hosted by the terrific Sarah, check our her awesome blog! The cards I received were so fabulous - I can't wait to show you! Part of the "rules" of the swap was to post everybody's cards with a link to their blog. Today I'm going to start with my card.
I wanted to use this beautiful Chatterbox paper I bought - I just love their plaids!! The reverse side of the plaid was the great texturized khaki color that I used for the tabs, Mamabella's pants and the "Welcome Baby". I also cute a teeny-tiny part of the baby's blanket from the plaid. The Bashful Blue was stamped with SU!'s Linen background stamp. If this layout looks familiar it's because I made a Staceyfishabella card with the same layout (only the tag is different).
Stamps: Mamabella (Stamping Bella), Linen, Sentiment from Mini Mates (SU!)
Cardstock: Old Olive, Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Spring Garden Plaid (Chatterbox)
Ink: Stazon Black
Accessories: Vintage Brads, 1/16” Circle Punch, Large Oval Punch, Watercolor Wonder Crayons, Aquapainters, Word Window Punch, blue rickrack, Dimensionals
One last thing, I went to a jewelry making class last night at my local Adult Ed. It was lots of fun! The class goes for the next 2 weeks and we make a different piece each week (hopefully I'll be able to finish!). Here's a picture of the earrings we made last night - we made the whole thing - even the earring wires! The beads are a dark garnet color and I was pleased with how they turned out - maybe I'll have a new hobby! :)
Have a great day everyone!
