Gratefulness Journal

A few weeks ago Joanne asked me if I could donate something to her blog candy contest to raise money for her friend Sarah's Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. Of course I thought it was a great idea and was thrilled she'd even ask me! There are some awesome prizes available when you donate to this great cause, an original Taylor VanBruggen creation, a beautiful collection of creations by Emily Giovanni, great stamps from Stamping Bella, Papertrey Ink, and My Favorite Things. Gift certificates for great merchandise from online retailers and so much more!

I tried and tried to come up with a card that would be worthy to be in such company . . . then I remembered these great journals I picked up on my last trip to Marshalls and decided to make a Gratefulness Journal. So here it is, my contribution to the winnings. I think these are such a great idea - although I never seem to keep up with one myself! Having a place to put down on paper each day the things you are thankful for is so wonderful! There are so many times we get discouraged or annoyed and just need to be reminded of how very much we have to be thankful for!!

I covered the journal with my new papers from the Fancy Pants Key Lime Pie collection - I love that paper!!! The Doodle This and Doodle That stamps are stamped with Black Stazon on a Window Sheet. Then I colored the back of the heart with a Rose Red marker and painted on Lumiere to make it opaque and shimmery.

I'm going today to look at the pictures we had taken a couple weeks ago, if I can get permission from the photographer I'll post one here . . . that is if they are good - the photographer wanted to take maternity shots so there are a lot of my belly- could be scary!! :). Have a great day everyone
