Prettie Wednesday Holiday
Happy Wednesday to you! Today is our regularly scheduled Paper Pretties DT challenge - Prettie Wednesday as we like to call it. :) But, if you recall two weeks ago Jillian gave us a challenge to Take the Week Off! It worked out great because when I stamped yesterday I made my challenge card for this week - did you take Jana's challenge to create something with polka dots?! I'll show you my card next week. Since I don't have a challenge card to show you today I thought I'd share a project I made last week.
My oldest, Emma will be 6 on Sunday (I can hardly believe that!!) Oh, and I have to share, she lost her first tooth on Sunday night - talk about excited!!! She has been so anxious to have a loose tooth. She discovered it's looseness Saturday night and it came out Sunday night so it was a big day for us! It just seems so strange - like she really is growing up!
Anyway, for her birthday we decided to have a ladybug party. I haven't used my Papertrey Ink set Little Lady for a while and with the pretty new pink colors they came out with last month it seemed like the perfect chance. I also used a great tutorial Nicole did for a Slider Card - so easy and perfect for invitations!!
Here's a picture of the card when you slide it open. I came up with a little poem (I feel like Lexi - only I'm sure hers would be cuter! :) ) and printed that on my computer using the same font from the It's a Celebration set. Emma was very pleased with how these came out. I will definitely be making more of these slider cards - they are so neat!Cardstock: Sweet Blush, Berry Sorbet, Stamper's Select White (Papertrey Ink), Stamps: Little Lady, It's a Celebration, Borders & Corners Monogram Edition, Inks: Berry Sorbet, Sweet Blush, Palette Noir, Accessories: Corner Rounder, Sweet Blush Dotted Satin ribbon, Dimensionals, Circle Punch, Nestabilities, Swarovski crystal

Julie - this is the most adorable invitation! Love it! And a very happy birthday to Ms. Emma! She is so cute with her missing tooth! :-) XXOO
