Prettie Wednesday Peek #2
It's Wednesday again and since I usually post my Prettie Girl Challenge card I thought I'd team it up with today's Prettie Peek! Two weeks ago Jillian challenged us to use stripes on our cards - any stripes, in paper, in ribbon, diagonal, etc.
Are you surprised that I used my new Imaginisce paper from the For Peep's Sake collection that I bought from Emma's Paperie?? (I told you that you'd see it a lot!) :) These 2 papers are Drapin Daisies and Color Me Happy - and did I mention before that they are glitter papers? They have a very tasteful amount of glitter on one side.
Here's another look at Flutterby Sophia and Sassy Circles that will both be released by Paper Pretties at our Pretties' Pajama Party on Sunday, March 9 at 8 pm EST. For this version I paper pieced Sophia's dress which I LOVE to do! I partially used another one of Jen del Muro's SFYTT sketches (this one). This card is pretty simple and straightforward, not a lot of layers but sometimes that's ok! :) The butterfly is a Making Memories Flowers in Bloom Chipboard Button that I picked up at Emma's Paperie also - they are so cool! There are lots of them, and they are coated with a nice thick coat of a clear epoxy. Be sure to check out the other Prettie Girls' blogs to see what they did with stripes! Last week Jana challenged us to make "anything but a card." I actually finished mine on time this week and will be shipping it out to Joanne today. Today it's Christie's turn to issue a challenge. Play along with us and let us know what you make!
I had a reader request yesterday that I post what color Copics I use when my recipe list includes Copics. Judie, this if for you and I am still researching the other part of your question so check back for that answer! :) The pink Ciao marker in this picture is #R20 Blush. For yesterday's card I used Sketch Eoo (skin white), E74 (Cocoa Brown), YG05 (Salad), BG10 (Cool Shadow), W0 (Warm Gray No. 0), BV01 (Viola), Ciao R20 (Blush) and my Colorless Blender (0).
Ok - so WHAT DO YOU THINK OF MY NEW BLOG LOOK??!! Isn't it AWESOME???! I am in love with it! I'll give you the full deets in another post tomorrow but for now I'll tell you that it was done by the FABULOUS Sara Williams! She has been wonderful to work with and is she a genius or what?! Tell me what you think???
