Swap Card
A couple of weeks ago I hosted my very first swap! Now I've participated in several but never hosted before so this was a lot of fun. The swap was hosted on a Yahoo group for members of Paper Pretties (and if you are a member of PP and have not signed up, please go here and do so!!). We have weekly challenges (with prizes), monthly Stamping In Your Jammies (with prizes), swaps, new about the Paper Pretties Corner Store, shipping updates and lots more!!
So my swap was a Rubber Romance swap and there were 2 groups. I participated in Group 2 and we got some really pretty card!! This was the card that I made. I used Tiffany with Basic Grey Mellow paper. I stamped Tiffany using Palette ink in Burnt Umber. I paper pieced her raincoat and on the umbrella and boots used Crystal Effects to make them shiny and pretty. I'll be taking pictures of the other cards and will show you them another day.
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! We enjoyed the day with my in-laws - lots of food, lots of laughter! It was Aaron's first Thanksgiving! Have a great weekend everyone!
For my local friends and customers - I will be hosting a Holiday Stamp Camp on Saturday, December 8. The location is yet to be determined but we will be making several cards as well as some projects that will be great for your holiday gift giving! The cost for the day will be $30 which includes everything you will need except adhesive - and you will be getting a VERY good value for this cost! Please email me if you would like more information or to reserve your spot. I need to know quickly so that I can have enough supplies on hand - so Thursday the 29th is the last day to sign up!
