Bouncing Brayer Card
Good morning!! It's Wednesday so you know what that means? It's DT Challenge day for the Prettie Girls! (see this post if you want more info)
Two weeks ago the challenge was issued by Charmaine to create a card using the Bouncing Brayer technique. I know a lot of us struggled with this challenge. Charmaine makes it look so easy and has lovely results but I found that it does take some practice. Here is the card I created. I only have 2 spectrum pads so my choices were limited but since it is October and I have the great Think Pink set from My Favorite Things I went pink (available here)! I think this card really looked better in person - the camera seems to pick up all the lighter spaces and shows them as white. It really was "softer" in person. It was a fun card to create though!
I used my new Heidi Swapp Edge Distresser and some beautiful Swarovski crystals that I got from the Paper Pretties Corner Store - lots of fun!
Ok, so now it's your turn - did you give the challenge a try last week, remember it was to Try Something That Scares You? Let me know by putting a link to your creation in the comments. Be sure to check out the cards the other DT members, Alli, Charmaine (which is the card I received and it's sooo cute!), Christie, Joanne, Jillian (although she is under the weather right now and probably won't be posting today - feel better soon Jillian!!!), Julie C and Kristine.
Today is my turn to issue a challenge, I'll be back with that later so check back soon! Have a great day!
ETA: Ok, my challenge this week to the Prettie Girls (and to YOU if you'd like to play along) is to add chipboard to your cards! Doesn't matter what, doesn't matter where, just add a bit of chipboard to your project. Link your projects back here in the comments section so that we all can see them and have fun!
