Another Sketch Card
This is the 3rd card sketch I did over the weekend. I used Julee's sketch from Mojo Monday Week #7 - ok I know I'm a bit late but . . . it was such a cute sketch and I was on a roll! :) I actually changed the sketch ever so slightly by putting the circle image off the side. I love this Dashing DP from SU! The colors are traditional red and green without being boring!
Cardstock: Real Red, Certainly Celery, Very Vanilla, Dashing DP
Stamps: A Winter Song, Sending Winter Wishes (Elzybells NA)
Ink: Brilliance Black
Accessories: Circle punches, Red Grosgrain, Dimensionals, Prismacolor pencils
I was tagged the other day by Dawn over at Treasure Oiler Designz - thanks Dawn!! So here goes:
1. Link to the person that tagged you and post the rules on your blog. Dawn's blog is wonderful! She makes beautiful projects every day!! Go check it out!
2. Share 7 random and/or weird facts about yourself (on your blog, we all want to know them).
- I'm left-handed (not weird I know but . . .). I do however do a few things right-handed, like cutting since left-handed scissors were very hard to find when I was growing up.
- I rarely get the same haircut twice - I like change (which means every picture I have of myself looks totally different)!!
- I wasn't married until I was 30.
- I once met President Bush (senior Bush) on a date. It was actually the first time I went out this guy. We had dinner at a restaurant in Kennebunkport, Maine which happens to be a place the Bushes often go to when they are in town (they have a home in Kennebunkport). After his meal he actually walked around shaking hands, signing autographs and talking to people.
- I've said this before but I do not like any orange vegetables!
- I love my 150+ year old farmhouse and would hate it if we ever had to move to a "new" house. I tell my husband he will never hear me asking to build a new house - I love the character and charm of my old house - even though there is ALWAYS tons of things that need to be done! One thing some of my fellow Paper Pretties DT members think is strange is that our barn is attached to our house - I guess it's a New England thing.
- I have chickens - 5 hens and 1 rooster. I love having fresh eggs but really do not enjoy the mess of raising chickens.
That was very difficult!! Basically, I'm a pretty boring person! LOL! Now I am supposed to tag 7 people and let them know by posting a comment on their blog. I'm sort of taking the easy road here - I'm going to tag all my fellow Prettie Girls - don't hate me! :)
Ok that took me a long time! :) Now I have to stamp! Hope you all have a stampingly happy day!
Julie -
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this card. I have not seen those stamps before and I love them! Sooo cute!
Info on yourself is interesting --- I identify with the hair thing --- it is fun to change!
Julie, that card is so cute! I love that DP too and have used all mine up already! Will order more next month ;)
ReplyDeleteOh my word! Your house is AWESOME! It looks like a wonderful place to live. I could see myself sitting there under the tree watching the kids play! So pretty!
I do find it odd that the barn is attached...maybe unique is a better word! Neat!
I don't think you are a boring person at all! If you were, your cards would NOT be as stunning as they are!
I'm so happy you played the game! It's fun to see what others are about!
Have a FANTASTIC day!

You and Jillian are lefties too! That's great. Funny how we have to adapt somethings, I do cut right as well, leftie scissors are a pain!
Julie,
ReplyDeleteI love your home!!! I have always wanted to go to New England in the fall, and Maine is high on my list. I love the character of your home. Absolutely gorgeous. I love that the barn is attached. I would love to see more pictures with your home when the leaves fall and in the winter with snow. I have this dream of ice skating and going to a barn dance up North. Ever see the movie Baby Boom!! I want her home...after the repairs...Chris
