Stamping in your Jammies!

Ok, did I have fun last night! You remember Paper Pretties? The fabulous company I told you about in this post. Well, there is also a Paper Pretties Yahoo group and once a month on a Friday night they have Stamping in your Jammies. If you are familiar with SCS's Virtual Stamping Night it's similar. The night started at 8 pm and there were 3 challenges, a sketch challenge, a color challenge and a sparkle challenge. You have 1 hour to complete the card and upload it and there will be prizes awarded for the best cards. I had never done anything like this before, but decided to give it a try! I was able to finish 2 of the cards last night before the baby needed my attention, but I finished the 3rd challenge this morning just to say "I finished!"

So, since I have 3 new cards, I thought I'd give you a peak. Here is the first card, it was a sketch challenge. The only stamps we could use were Jammibella, Diplomabella, Daintibella (all from Stamping Bella) or Hot Stuff (from My Favorite Things). I think this card looks a bit different from my usual style - it's the paper, I received it in a prize package I won a few months ago. The colors are really pretty and I thought the swirls looked a bit like steam from a coffee cup so I went with it. I paper pieced the dress on the woman and used my glitter pen for the steam, otherwise the rest is a bit self-explanatory.
