Easter

Happy Monday! After a very busy weekend and a nice Easter spent with our family we back to our normal routine and back to stamping!

I thought I'd share one photo from yesterday - this was taken after church, when the children were tired, hungry and not altogether happy (as you can tell by Ethan's face!). There just never seems to be enough time to get a photo before we go when everyone is still neat and clean, oh well! I am looking quite large at this time - but only 5 more weeks (I'm praying for 3-4!). I have a doctor's appointment today so we'll see what they think!

I did have a little time this morning to stamp with my new Paptertrey Ink set Green Thumb again. This card took me much longer than it should have - I guess a couple days off made me a bit rusty! :) I am really into making smaller square cards lately, the images in this set just seem to lend themselves to smaller cards and it's fun to play with different sizes.

There are 2 different size strawberries included in this set, I made this card with the small one. I used the 3 different size curly pieces to make a background (which is hard to see on the red). I used one of the stems to make the handle on the bucket and the glittery strawberry is cut out and put on with a dimensional. The sentiment is also part of the set, but I used my marker to only get the words "simply joys" and the tags are also popped out with dimensionals.

As my other cards with this set, this is a fairly simple card. I think the images are just so clean and fresh they really stand alone (although I have seen some beautiful cards with lots more detail!).

Have a great day everyone! Enjoy some stamping time and have fun! :)

  1. OMG! I think the fact that you used one of the stems to turn the flower pot into a bucket (with a handle!!!) is one of THE most clever things I've seen yet! SO creative!
