Bella Day
Happy Saturday everyone! What a gorgeous day we are having here in Maine (that's gawgeous if you're from Maine, right Jana?). It felt like spring finally, my crocuses are in full bloom and my daffodils are coming up too! How nice to have the sun after so much yucky weather.
I did have some time to stamp today and since my brain is pretty numb I decided to make a pretty Bella card to try and perk up with! A friend at church is having a birthday this week so I made her this Cakeabella card and matching bookmark (with the terrific big clips Charmaine at Oodabug Alley sent me!! Thanks again Charmaine!).
I'm going to call this my submission for Amy's Scrap Stash Saturday too - I did cut into my Basic Grey scraps - although they were bigger scraps but that counts right? :)
I am loving these colors! The Basic Grey Gypsy paper is so bright and fun and my new May Arts ribbon matched perfectly! I also had just purchased one of the new Palette ink pads from Papertrey Ink. I bought Chartreuse, which is the exact green in a lot of the BG papers that I haven't been able to match in SU! LOVE IT!! It's a great color and a really nice ink pad.
The paperclip book mark was fun to make using my Cuttlebug and the matching papers. These are nice quick little gifts for when you need "just a little something."
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, Basic Grey Gypsy
Stamps: Cakeabella, Make a Wish (Stamping Bella)
Inks: Stazon Black
Accessories: Dimensionals, Vintage Brads, May Arts ribbon, Watercolor Crayons, Oval Punch, Jumbo paperclips, heavy coasters, Cuttlebug
Hope you all are having a fabulous Saturday! We're having all the grandparents over tomorrow for another birthday dinner for Emma so that will be fun. Thanks for stopping in!
The card is wonderful! And the big clippie is just awesome! Yay--so glad you used them! :)
ReplyDeleteAdorable card, and awesome clip!! I haven't gotten to an office supply store over here yet to look and see if we have them - think I'll have to go check it out soon! :-)
ReplyDeleteGlad you're finally getting some lovely spring weather. Talked to my bro in Orono yesterday and he said they were up to 70. Yeah!! Spring has arrived!!
Huggs,
Jana
You always do such gorgeous Bellas! I just made my first clips yesterday at a SU! workshop. I love making them! I think they would be great little gifts for teachers and such!
ReplyDeleteThat card and bookmark is cuter than cute! I absolutely love the colors! I like how you layered the Cuttlebug die! This will be one lucky gal!
ReplyDeleteAck! This combo is too fab-oo! How DID you make that little flower on the sentiment? It's adorable! Is it a cuttlebug diecut?? I love this basic gray paper too -- some of my favorite! And now this bella is definitely on my wish list!
