Birthday pics & New Card
I promised a picture of the birthday cake so here it is. Overall I think they did a great job! I should have asked if they had edible glitter for her wings, but . . . can't think of everything!! LOL!
Emma loved it and my mother-in-law, who picked it up, said everyone who saw it raved over it! UPDATE: I forgot to say a huge THANK YOU to Emily at Stamping Bella for giving me permission to use the image - the bakery would not have done it otherwise! She is just the most awesome person!!
We had a great party - 6 children (5 girls & my poor son!) so it was a manageable group.
In between all the festivities and contractions, I was able to do one quick card with my new Faux Ribbon set from Papertrey Ink. It's very simple and not much creativity involved but I do think it's pretty - I love these colors (from this week's color challenge)!! It's very difficult to see from the photo but I stamped the background with SU!'s paisley background stamp. Then stamped a border around the whole edge with the PTI scallop stamp. I also tried out a trick Nicole showed on her blog for making a round scalloped frame. I covered the blank space with a cute little flower I recently won in some blog candy from Joanne. I also used my new Dewdrop ink pads for this card (that I bought at Eclectic Papiere of course! (I can't get their link to work, but it's over on my sidebar for future reference)). When arrived I surprised at how small they were, but so cute and really very nice to use. The black covered very nicely and the aqua color matched the Cool Caribbean perfectly!
Cardstock: Cool Caribbean, Whisper White
Stamps: Faux Ribbon (PTI) Paisley (SU!)
Inks: Versamagic Dew Drops - Midnight Black, Sea Breeze
Accessories: Dimensionals, flower, corner rounder punch
Thank you for all the well wishes yesterday and today. It looks like the baby decided to stay put for a while! :) Hope you all have a great weekend - it's finally nice here . . . sunny and warm!! We'll be playing outside this weekend!

Holy CUTE! Both the card, and the cake too! We'll have to chat about how you made that round border. Once you stamped it, did you cut it out? I made a cute one with a piece of Amuse Creative Candy that I need to put some finishing touches on and then post. Glad the black and white little flower worked for your card. That is my all time fave color combo. So clean.
