Many Thanks
Good morning! Our Kitchen Sink Stamps card today started with this week's FTL#207 from Clean and Simple Stamping. I thought the layout looked perfect to use one of the Step 1 stamps from a KSS floral set but as I looked through my stamps I came across 3 Step School Days and this idea came to me.
The hardest part was choosing the colors!! I knew I wanted kraft for the base but the others took a while. Once I adhered my layers I stamped the Step 1 stamp of the apple using Versamark ink and then embossed them with clear ep. I like the way they have a 2-tone effect where the 2 papers meet.
Once I had finished the stamping and the sentiment it still seemed a bit blah so I added the tiny black strip down the side. Wow, did that make a big difference - that and rounding the 2 right corners! Makes it a bit school-ish.
Thanks for taking a look today - please visit the rest of the KSS Crew and remember that you can get 10% anytime at Kitchen Sink Stamps with the code JULIE10KSS. Have a happy Monday!
