Good morning!! It's another rainy sort of day here but I'm actually enjoying the down time, time to get caught up on housework, laundry, design work, etc. It feels great!! And I actually got my TCP Tuesday card done for Tuesday - yea me! :)
This week's Hostess with the Mostess is the fabulous Jen del Muro and she has created such a beautiful inspiration palette for us - be sure to check it out on her blog or in the TCP Forum on SCS. There isn't a ton of color, but the textures and designs are so calming and beautiful. I was most inspired by the natural/botanical influence of the last picture, and I loved the little white bird sitting beneath the flowers so that's what I went with.
I used Nesting for most of this card, just the sentiment is from The Tweetest Things. I started by stamping the nest. The eggs were stamped and embossed in white on kraft paper and then cut out and layered onto the nest. I stamped the bird in very light ink, cut it out and flipped it so it just looks like a diecut. I embossed it and then popped it up over the eggs.
Lots of white, lots of texture. I love the small white Easy Rosette with the sparkly center! So now, it's your turn! Visit Alma's blog for the all the details on the challenge and play along. You can also come chat with us in the TCP Forum! Thanks so much for visiting today, have a wonderful day!!
