Hugs and Treats for YOU!
Hello again my friends! I thought I'd pop in with another quick card and a chance for some Jules Jewels (aka Blog Candy!)! I just got this fabulous new My Favorite Things set, Who's That e-Girl. Isn't it cute? And those awesome sentiments!?! I know several hundred people that need this set -uuhhhhmmmm . . .. all my blogging buddies!! :) I had so much fun playing with patterns and coloring the image - what a fun, fun set! Kim is having some awesome sales this weekend so head over there and pick up this fab set along with some other goodies to start off your holiday shopping!
I also just got this super cool new October Afternoon paper from Emma's Paperie - did you know that houndstooth is *hot*?!! Have you been reading Cath Edvalson's new blog Moxie Fab World?! Cath is the Creative Editor of Paper Crafts Magazine so who better to keep us up on the latest and greatest paper crafting trends?! I became a follower right away - Cath has such a wonderful writing style, there are lots of pretty photos, fun challenges and even give-aways!
So the blog candy?!! I was lucky enough to win one of Cath's first treats - a copy of Card Creations, Volume 6 and since I already have a copy (I have 2 cards in this issue so I may just have a couple of copies *wink, wink*), I'm going to share the love! Leave me a comment on this post and I'll pick a winner on Monday, December 1 - how about you tell me what your favorite trend is right now! I'll send the winner Card Creations, Volume 6, Holiday Cards (which I also have a card in!) and maybe a few other little treats! :)
I want to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving!! I hope you enjoy wonderful food, the love of family and friends and safe travels!! Hugs! :)
Congrats on the publications Julie, and thanks for great tip about the Moxie Fab blog!
ReplyDeleteYour card is awesome (and made it to the MFT blog, too in case you didn't know!)
My favorite trend right now, and one I can't seem to grasp is the scrappy/vintage/shabby look. My friends Kimberly Crawford is a genius at it, but I can't seem to emulate her style! :)
Happy Thanksgiving!
This is so pretty, Julie...and I love your paper piecing!! That flower is so beautiful as well!! Congrats on your pubs, girl!! You ROCK!! Happy Thanksgiving!!
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome Julie!!!
ReplyDeleteNot that I ever win, but thought I'd try again... :-) I love the scoring on cards... it's so simple but adds such a great touch!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your publications, too. I don't comment much on blogs (thanks to Google Reader), but I follow your blog every day! Happy Thanksgiving to you, as well!
Since I am so blogtastic, I just had to try for this one...thanks Julie! And great piecing here too with the funky DP!
ReplyDeleteI am not a very trendy person but I would love to be able to do the shabby look. Just can't figure it out!! Thanks for the chance to win.

Congratulations Julie. And thanks for sharing your extra. Would love to win.
ReplyDeleteI was so excited to see your card featured in Kim's newsletter today! it is fabulous, love the big blue flower. Congrats on your publications! I ordered this set today thanks to the special *wink* trend? can't really think of anything...oh wait, my sister is buying me a Vera Bradley tote, pin & brown!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute card!! Love the paper piecing. That is a favorite technique of mine. I also like the acrylic embellishments I've seen. Congratulations on your publications!!
ReplyDeleteI am LOVING your patterns! Congrats on the pubs. I am loving the trend toward a simpler designs, with a little funk.
ReplyDeleteGreat paper piecing. Love the flow of it.
ReplyDeleteMy trend right now is using my cuttlebug. I can't seem to make a card without it.
I have an order for last year's Christmas card design (before I had cuttlebug) and it feels so weird to make them without it.
Thanks for your ideas and generosity!
Thanks for telling us about Cath's blog. I LOVE it!!! And congrats on the publish. Maybe one day I will get lucky and land in a mag beside ya. Have a great day and I hope you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteSewing on cards. I love this trend, I want to do it. I purchased a sewing machine. All I do is cause a jam. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteThanks for offering blog candy!
I love my cuttlebug. I use it for basically every card I make. From nestibilities to all the wonderful cuttlebug folders. Gives the simple cards such elegance.
ReplyDeleteCute card! I love the paper you used for the paper piecing.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite trend right now is the Cuttlebug. I honestly don't know what I would do without it. It adds so much to cards and is so easy to use.
The most interesting trend for me at the moment is the brayering/sponging style. I've always loved to color, and this is just a more professional-looking way of doing it.
