Prettie "Faux" Brayered Wednesday
Wednesday already?! This week is flying by! Two weeks ago Jackie challenged the Prettie Girls to use a brayer - great challenge since it is one of my very under-used tools! One tiny snag . . . can't find it! LOL! Seriously! My baby (I really should stop calling him that since he's about 18 months now!) likes to play with it and carry it around. I've looked in all the "usual" places and even some "unusual" ones - no brayer! So . . . I had to improvise a bit here and I'm not sure how I feel about the result.
This would have been a bit difficult with a brayer but with sponges and some post-it notes it wasn't too bad. I promise to move on to more "in season" stamps soon - I just needed a bit of the tropics today! Sure am missing that cruise! :)
I used the palm tree from Soakin' Up the Sun from Paper Pretties. The middle of the palm tree I glued some Bella Dots that were part of our goodie bag on the cruise. The idea to put them there also came from the cruise and a card designed by Nicky where she used orange Bella Dots for coconuts! Can I just stop here and say how perfectly lovely Nicky is?!! What a truly beautiful person she is through and through!!!
Please be sure to blurf around and see what the other Prettie Girls did - I'm sure you'll be inspired! Today it's my turn to be the challenger so how about an oldie but goodie . . . make a no layer card. But wait, there's more! Since I just got a Scor-Pal (another part of the cruise goodies!!) let's use scoring as an embellishment on our no layer card! Sound fun? Wanna try? Please leave me a link to your creation - I'd love to see what you make!! Have a great day everyone! :)
