Prettie Mono Wednesday

Happy Wednesday!! Jana issued the challenge 2 weeks ago, to make a monochromatic card - a true one, just shades of the same color. We could add white or black but brown or gray did not count. I've decided I just don't do monochromatic - lol! I had a very hard time with this!

I ended up surfing around to find some free digi paper in monochromatic colors. Do you know there are a TON of free papers out there?! Just download and print - sweet! Check out DigiFree - The Digital Scrapbooking Freebie Search Engine, it lists them ALL - with pics! :) I went there and found a link to Digi Cyber Scraps and these very pretty papers. What I've found works for me is that I open the papers in PS and the copy them to a new file that's letter size. I usually put 2 papers on 1 page - 1/2 and 1/2 so that I have less waste and save on ink.

Ok, so here's my card. I used 2 of the papers (even made my card from one so it's green on the back). I stamped the turtle from Beach Bum, colored him with a couple Copics and added some Crystal Effects to his shell. The sentiment is from Soakin Up the Sun. You'd think that a card this simple only took me a few minutes . . . uuummm, not so! :) LOL!
