CPS #73
I'm back as promised with my card for CPS #73! As I said earlier, Kitchen Sink Stamps is the sponsor this week at Card Positioning Systems (CPS). I'm very interested to see what their amazing designers will do with these stamps that I love so much! Go take a look at the 3 there today - they are wonderful! It's funny that 2 of them contain backgrounds made with sentiments - I had considered doing that myself. Each card is so different but they all are great!
I have to confess that this sketch kicked my butt a bit - lol! I don't know why, I really like it but if you knew how many different ideas I went through . . . it was a very late night! :) I ended up making a Christmas themed card using 3 Step Holly & Mistletoe which is such a beautiful set - it was actually my first KSS set! This card would be very simple to mass produce (especially with one of those wavy cutters). One thing that is hard to pick up in the photograph (you can click to enlarge it) is that after I finished stamping the holly it seemed a bit too "clean" compared to the dp so I stamped over it with the Linen background stamp using Sahara Sand (stamped off). It gives it a softer, vintage look.
Be sure to check out the CPS site all week to see what their designers make and also the other members of the KSS Crew (over on my right sidebar).
Cardstock: Burgundy (Bazzill), Vintage Cream (Papertrey Ink), dp is Daisy D, Stamps: 3 Step Holly & Mistletoe (Kitchen Sink Stamps), Linen (SU!), Inks: Rhubarb Stalk, Bamboo Leaves, Cottage Ivy (Memento Inks), Bravo Burgundy, Sahara Sand (SU!), Accessories: Vintage Lace (Melissa Frances)
