Prettie Old/New Wednesday
Good morning! We had such a nice day at the lake yesterday! The water was a good temp (not that I got in above my waist!) there was a nice breeze off the water and the children had fun playing with their cousins. My SIL and I decided we really needed to do this more often - our house is only 1 mile from the lake so what's my excuse? :)
Anyway, today is another Prettie Wednesday! I really look forward to these days - seeing what the other Prettie Girls have come up with and finding out what the new challenge is! Having said that, I'm not really thrilled with my card today! Jillian challenged us to Make It New - take one of your "oldest" stamps and make it new again. Ok, I'm thinking there's a reason they are my "old" stamps - I've used up all the goodness out of 'em - lol!! I bought this set to make Emma's 1st birthday invitations and thank you's - I just fell in love with the cute doodle-y feel. I still like it (which is why I still have it) but I think my brain was a bit fried from the heat and sun today!
Be sure to blurf around and check out what the other Prettie Girls came up with - I'm sure it will be fabulous!!! Last week Jessie challenged us to use bright colors and one must be orange! Today Joni challenged us to "hand do something" - whether it's doodle, draw, write . . . something on the card must be done by hand - not stamps. Ok, my card today would qualify! :) Have a great day!

ReplyDeletewhat a cheerful card! I totally remember this set (my friend had it) she made a dress with the birdhouse upside down & the flower for the skirt.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute card, and I love that little bird!
ReplyDeleteI hear you about the excuses. We have a State park not to far up the street, and never seem to make it there.
I think it's super cute Julie! Love the layout and colours you used!
ReplyDeleteWish we lived a little closer to water...lol...enjoy those days you can take the kids and have fun!
