Prettie Acetate?
Good Wednesday morning! Another beautiful day here in Maine - sunny, warm, just a perfect Spring day! I've been working outside still - little by little getting those front beds in shape. I'll post some pics tomorrow so you can see what I'm working with - it's won't win any awards but it's so much better than it was!
Ok, Prettie Wednesday . . . the Prettie Mama (Christie), challenged us 2 weeks ago to use acetate on a card. Ok, what? LOL! Seriously, I was stressing because I didn't want to make a shaker (I just did that a couple of weeks ago) so what else do you do with acetate? I sat down and just played around a little. In the end I stamped the image - which is Simply Special from Paper Pretties - on acetate, colored it with Copic markers and mounted it over some pretty dp using dimensionals. I cut a frame for the image using my circle Nestabilities. It almost could be a shaker card but I just liked the look of the pretty flower dp showing through the watering can. I have to say this is one of those cards that really does look prettier IRL!
Be sure to check out the other Prettie Girls' blogs - I know you will see some gorgeous cards and get some great ideas! Remember last week I challenged them (and you!) to Be Inspired - find a blog or website or gallery that you love and make a card using it as inspiration! I am really looking forward to seeing some new (or not) pretty sources of inspiration!
This week it's Charmaine's turn to challenge us - what will it be?! Have a great day!
Cardstock: Sweet Blush, Stampers Select White (PTI), dp is Making Memories, Soft Sky textured (SU!), Stamps: Simply Special, Inks: Palette Noir, Accessories: acetate, Copic markers, Making Memories Chipboard buttons, pink ric rac (American Crafts), Dimensionals, Nestabilities
