Pajama Party Cards
Last night was the Paper Pretties release combined with our Pretties Pajama Party. The party was hosted by Charmaine and was lots of fun!! There were 3 challenges issued and I managed to get 2 out of 3 done so I thought I'd share them here today.
The first challenge was a one layer card. I have to say I really struggled with this challenge! I am so used to using patterned paper and layering (especially with my Nestabilities) that it was difficult to get started. But as you can see I did find a way to use those Nesties - lol!! :) The card is made using the largest scalloped circle Nestabilities (just putting the die off the edge of the paper a bit on the fold side).
I used the newest Sophia stamped released last night, Flutter By. I colored her with my Prismacolor pencils and OMS. (I didn't want to use Copics here because the color would have bled through to the inside of the card since there are NO layers here!) :) Before stamping the sentiment I curved it a bit on the acrylic block to make it follow the curve of the card. For the "ground" under Sophia's feet I used the large skinny oval from Sassy Circles - this set will give you lots of option for backgrounds and grounding images!
Cardstock: Paper Accents Pearlized White, Stamps: Flutter By, Inks: Palette Noir, Chartreuse, Accessories: May Arts ribbon, Spica pens, Prismacolor pencils, Liquid Pearls
The second challenge was a monochromatic card, I didn't get to that one . . .yet! The third was a sketch challenge. I used my cute little bee stamp by Stampendous (there are still a few Stampendous stamps available on sale in the Prettie Boutique!). I used my Prismacolor pencils again here and some Cutie Pie dp from SU!
Cardstock: So Saffron, WW, Cutie Pie dp, Stamps: Bee Happy, Bee (Stampendous), Ink: Palette Noir, Accessories: Bella Baubles, Swarovski crystal, Prismacolor Pencils
I have a busy day ahead of me so I'm not sure if I'll get to stamp - so sad! :( But the sun is shining and the snow is melting so that's reason enough to be thankful! Have a great day! :)
Two great cards, love your round card, enjoy the sun and warming weather.
