Hello! I've missed you all - I've been so busy since last Thursday getting ready for Holiday Stamp Camp on Saturday and my daughter's birthday party. On Saturday I noticed that Anna was coming down with a cold (how rotten on your birthday huh?) so no church for us Sunday . . . except my quick appearance for our bell choir rehearsal. Today was busy as I had to drive the 3 older children to Grammy's since it was snowing and Grammy doesn't like to drive in the snow. Then I met with the kitchen designer from our local lumber yard to measure and talk about the design of my new stamping space - FUN!! So now I have decisions to make about cabinets and countertop, colors & heights. I know I want white cabinets but the countertops are hard to pick from a tiny swatch! Anyway . . . I'm sorry I haven't posted in quite a while!
I promised my friends that attended Holiday Stamp Camp that I would post a picture of the cards and projects so that they would be able to complete the ones they didn't have time for (as some had to leave
early). I want to say first that all of these cards were in some part (some big & some small) inspired by the many great cards I've seen on SCS and other blogs. The little box I have holding the candle is by
Cambria Turnbow (she used them for Peppermint Patties, but I found that my little votives fit perfectly and look really cute in them). The bookmarks are ones I found on
Dawn Easton's blog (she got them
here - which is also where I got the idea for a couple of the cards - on
this post).
ETA: The first project pictured above it actually a 1/2 notebook that I've done before - they are jr size legal pads that I had cut in half at Staples. The original idea came from Michelle Wooderson. I don't remember if there are others, but let me know if you see one that looks familiar! (there have been so many cute projects done with this combination of Merry & Bright and the Dashing paper!) Ok, since there are quite a few I'm not going to give detail - if you want it, please email me or leave a comment and I'll be happy to send it. I think most of them are pretty self-explanatory.
Wow girl! These are ALL fantastic! I LOVE this Dashing DP and the Merry & Bright set has long been a favourite of mine this holiday season!
ReplyDeleteI love the tall card you made. The first one. What size it that? I looks awesome!!
Hope everyone is well now! I'm getting stuffy too but it's not too hard to deal with.
Glad to see you back, I'd wondered if you were ill or away!

Oh do I know how it is when the kids gets sick...They usually all end up getting it and we can be out of church for weeks. We have Chicken Pox going around Church now. My kids haven't got them yet!!! Love ALL the cards Julie, you always Amaze me. I need to pick your brain and get some pointers on finding more time to stamp. (((Hugs)))
