Prettie Ornament?
Happy Wednesday everyone!! I've had an extremely busy couple of days and haven't gotten to stamp much :( I had such a great time on Monday meeting my blogging friend Jana - we shopped, we talked, we ate, it was so much fun!! (too bad we couldn't stamp)! Except for the fact that poor Aaron was just worn out by lunchtime and decided he needed to cry in the restaurant - yikes! I hate being one of "those" moms with the screaming baby you know? Thankfully there was music so it hopefully wasn't that bad. Hopefully Jana will send me a picture she took of us!
Ok, on to today . . . Prettie Wednesday. Two weeks ago Jillian challenged us to make a Christmas ornament. I must confess here that I had NO idea what to do and my ornament for Joanne will be late (sorry Jo!!). When I was out Monday I picked up a few supplies to give this a try - I saw it on Donna's blog (she has a link there to the directions on another blog). A few years ago my mother made a bunch of these with ribbon so when I saw the tutorial for them with paper I decided to try it. It didn't turn out too bad. The paper is from a huge paper stack by Provo Craft that I picked up at Michaels. It uses a whole sheet of 12x12 paper cut into 1x2 rectangles and folded into triangles. There are a ton of pins in it and I hope they all stay in! The top is the hardest part - mine didn't come out perfectly but I'm hoping the paper is busy enough so you don't notice! :)
Be sure to check out the rest of the Prettie Girls blogs (all the links are over there at the left) to see what they came up with! Last week we were challenged by Julie C to make a monogrammed item so look for that next week. Have a great day everyone!
