Two Sketch Cards

Good Monday morning everyone! I never did post those new pictures yesterday so here they are!

I did 3 sketch challenges this weekend - what fun!! This first card is for Beate's Weekend Sketch #24. After I finished the card I realized that I didn't exactly follow the sketch - the middle strip is not supposed to extend past the focal image on the right. (I tried to pull it apart ever so gently but it wouldn't budge and I really don't like the bend marks it leaves when you do that!). So, image it's not there! :) I am so in LOVE with this Little Drummer Boy from Stampendous! I just adore his little pudgy face and those cute little sheep! I've been wanting to stamp with him for quite a while and thought this was the perfect opportunity! I believe Christie has more of these ordered and they should arrive in the Paper Pretties store pretty soon - the stamp below is already there! All the images here are colored with Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits. The senitment is embossed with Silver EP and there are Swarovski crystals in the 4 corners.

This second card is for Jen del Muro's A Sketch For You To Try. It was a fun sketch to do! Now what about those wisemen?? Too cute or what! Again, they are Stampendous and available at Paper Pretties. As with the first card I used SU!'s Wintergreen DP - it's so beautiful! On the right hand paper I used my clear Stickles and put one little dot in the center of each star image to give it some interest. Two of the wisemen have Swarovski crystals in their crowns - they look so sparkly and regal! The sentiment is 2 circle punches layered on an oval punch. I colored all the images here with ink pads and an aqua painter.

One more thing, remember this post about the Paper Pretties new Copic Color Club and Nestabilities Now Club? I wanted to let you know that Julie Campbell - our very own Copic expert is heading this new subscription. She has chosen the colors for the club for the next 6 month and they are going to be great!! She hand-picked each color to work well together, to coordinate with Stampin' Up! colors and they are ones she thinks are must-haves. She will be giving monthly projects, tips and tutorials on how to use them most effectively so you will really be getting a great value (besides all the benefits of being a member of Paper Pretties! If you are interested in starting your Copic collection I strongly recommend that you sign up for this great club!! Each month the colors will build on each other so it's best if you start your subscription in November (so sign up in October) to take full advantage of Julie's "plan!"

Thanks for visiting today! Have a look at the post below for a link to where you can win FREE Kitchen Sink Stamps - who doesn't love free stamps!!???!! Have a great day everyone!
