More "goodie" cards

Here are some cards I made yesterday with more of my treats of hubby. These cards use the My Favorite Things set Bundle of Bouquets (available here). I love this image with the vase, it is so versatile! I'm trying to make up some more cards to take to the apple orchard down the road. Did I tell you all that they are going to carry my cards in their store??? I went down on Saturday and spoke to them, they loved the samples I took! They are going to buy a rack for the wall and make a special display of my cards there - yea!!

Ok, so these cards were pretty quick to make. I used my new Brilliance Graphite pad which does seem to be the best black pad I've used so far but I still need to do some comparisons. I used my Prismacolor pencils and odorless mineral spirits to color the images. The paper is SU Petals & Paisleys, the ribbon was from the Spring mini and the flowers are Primas (the big one was part of my blog candy package from Bethany Paull).

Since the sun is shining today I'll leave you with another picture of the card from yesterday along with another one I made like it (just a different size). The colors are much prettier in the light! :)

For my local customers (or anyone really!), I am planning a fun World Card Making Day event for you and want to give you the date so that you can mark your calendars. World Card Making Day is October 6 and I will be hosting a card making event. I am still working out the details but it will be very near or at my home and we will of course have TONS of fun! From Oct. 4-8 the SU! Simply Sent Card Kits will be on sale for 20% off the regular price. These kits may be viewed here or on pages 12-14 of the catalog. Please email me if you are interested in attending this event.

Hope you all have a great day!

  2. Congratualtions, how wonderful that they will be carrying your awesome creations. Love these cards. I am jealous no one around where I live is doing anything that I can find for National Card Day, guess Ft. Lauderdale, Fl is not in the card making groove.
