School Days
Ok, this card is a bit different from my "usual" style - BTW, what is your usual style? I wanted to use my new Back to School set, it is by My Favorite Things and is the featured stamp in the July box from Paper Pretties.
So I made the card that Christie designed (which I'll so you later) and then I made this card. I'm not sure about it - should I not admit that?? Feel free to tell me what would work better, what it needs, etc. We're all here to help and encourage each other, right?? :)
I used my Small Tag Punch from SU to create the window. The DP (which was a "Suggested Add-on from Paper Pretties) I thought loosely resembled siding on a red schoolhouse. I added the Chocolate Chip scalloped border for a "roof." This is a tri-fold card that I sort of made up - at least I think so, but I didn't look for others. As you can see from the second picture, the inside bottom flap has the image panel mounted on it. I think I'll try this again working on a closure . . . although I sort of like the paperclip closure in this instance, kind of goes with the "back to school" theme. On the inside I just hand drew a bookshelf so that I could put a few things on it - now you see how much of an artist I am NOT!! :)
I actually don't think it's that bad, it just needs a few touches, right? Have a great day everyone!
I like the card...I think it's very cool! Did you fold the dp to give it more texture/lift?? I really like that part! I don't think I can offer any suggestions cuz I like it the way it is!!
