Petals for Beate
Yippy - a new card! I had about 15 minutes to stamp and thought I'd try my new stamp set, Pick a Petal and Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #6 all at the same time. I also used one of the new In Style colors for 2007 Purely Pomegranate. When I saw it in the catalog I didn't think I'd like it, I thought it looked too much like the old Magenta color SU had, but it really is pretty, a nice deep rosy-pink color.
Anyway, I stamped the polka dotted petal, cut them out and then was laying them out to make a flower when I discovered I was using them upside down. But then I saw a tulip and decided to go with that (I'm sure this is not a new idea, but I hadn't seen it yet so . . .). I used Summer Sun as my accent color and the "Smile" is from Papertrey, Ink's Papertray set. The background was stamped with the dots from Itty Bitty Backgrounds and I used some of my paper from the Palette of Prints promotion pad.
Maybe I'll get to do more later but the girls are wanting to swim so have a great day!!
I love that you've created a tulip with this set! How cool!
