Beate's Challenge
If you haven't seen it already Beate has a great sketch challenge for Fresh & Fun Freebies - and the prize is great! You have to go give it a try, it was a fun sketch to play with! Here is my submission. Since I needed to make a couple Mother's Day cards I chose that as my theme. I also have been itching to use my new Palette of Prints paper.
The scalloped oval punch I received from Heidi as a trade for some Bella images. I love all these scalloped punches but there always seems to be something I want more when I have the money! :) Finally, the beautiful flower & brad were from some blog candy I won from Nicole Seitler.
Cardstock: Regal Rose, Apricot Appeal, Certainly Celery, WW, Palette of Prints DP
Stamps: Both Way Blossoms (Hostess Set), All Year Cheer
Inks: Black Stazon
Accessories: Watercolor Wonder Crayons, Aquapainters, Paper piercing tool, White Gel pen, rose grosgrain, flowers, brads
I have a couple more cards to show you. The first was sent to me by Heidi along with the scalloped punches. I just love the cute little cowgirl and the bandanna ribbon is awesome!! Thanks Heidi!!
Next, I received this adorable Jammybella card from Kristine Reynolds. I don't know if she has a blog so I can't link you, but I love the paper and the Cuttlebugged bottom with the cute image of Jammybella! UPDATE: I just found Kristine Reynolds blog . . . actually by accident, I saw she had posted a card for Beate's challenge too! :) So here's the link and thanks for the great card Kristine! We had our first family outing today, we took all 4 children and went out for breakfast - a kind of pre-Mother's Day treat. It actually was a lot of fun, the children had a great time with their "funny face pancakes" and Aaron slept through the whole thing! I just love these first couple of months when you can basically do anything with the baby and they just sleep contentedly through it all! I've been feeling a lot better these last few days which is such a blessing!
Have a great weekend everyone and a very Happy Mother's Day!
