Look Up!

I have another card for the Hope You Can Cling To event on Splitcoastampers, remember it runs all month!  I haven't been able to play along every day but am happy to be sending out a little package of cards today to the MD Anderson Cancer Center.  Check out the HYCCT forum for more information if you'd like to get involved.

Kitchen Sink Stamps is proud to be one of the sponsors of the HYCCT challenges - there are so many wonderful companies sponsoring!    I played along with the Things Are Lookin' Up challenge - to make a card with things you see when you look up. I pulled out the 3 Step Butterlies from Kitchen Sink Stamps, got the Sweet Sunday Sketch from Karen Giron and got to work!

I always forget how much fun it is to work with this Butterfly set - the images are beautiful and they come in so many sizes!  The ink recipes are:

Large Butterfly:  Step 3 - (Weathered Wood - stamped off) Ranger, Step 2 - (Shell Pink) Adirondack, Step 1 - (Shell Pink - stamped off) Adirondack
Medium Butterfly:  Step 3 - (Desert Sand) Memento, Step 2 - (Barely Banana) SU!, Step 1 - (Barley Banana -stamped off) SU!
Small Butterfly:  Step 3 - (Weathered Wood - stamped off) Ranger, Step 2 - (Sage Shadow - stamped off) SU!, Step 1 - (New Sprout) Memento

As you can see I cut out the top portion of the larger butterfly's wings and curled them up a bit for dimension.  I also added an outline of glitter to the wings as well as to the white scalloped layer underneath.
