Blueberries!

It's a rainy Monday morning here but that's ok, my house could sure use the attention!! :) We've been spending a lot of time at the lake recently and one of the things I love about where we go is that there are wild blueberries growing all over the property! It's so much fun to swim and play a bit and then take a break to pick blueberries. We don't go all out and pick a ton, but over our last few visits we've probably picked about 8 cups or so - enough for some yummy muffins and even a blueberry gingerbread cake this weekend!

Maine is famous for our blueberries and while I'm not a fan of the big ones like you buy in the store, I do like the smaller, wild variety. For my card today I used Multi-Step Berries from Kitchen Sink Stamps and Connie's Friday Sketch. I basically just stamped a whole bunch of blueberries all over a piece of white cardstock to use as a the background for my card.

My blueberry ink recipe was:
Step 4 - (Paris Dusk) Memento, Step 3 - (Imperial Purple) Versafine, Step 2 - (Blue Danube) Memento, Step 1 (Blue Danube - stamped off)

Don't they just look yummy?? The sketch was the perfect one to use for showing off some homemake "designer" paper!

Please visit the rest of the Kitchen Sink Stamps Crew today and if you have a chance, give the sketch a try! Have a merry Monday! :)
