The Cat's Pajamas: TCP Tuesday 138
Oooop, late again ... story of my life lately - lol! Hello my friends! It's TCP Tuesday and this week's hostess is Susan and she's challenged us to get in the spirit and use any holiday stamp from The Cat's Pajamas this week! Now I bet you can do that!
In my "alterables" closet (come on, you all have one of those right?) I've had this nifty little file box and I think I found the perfect use for it! I used PC Santa (which just cracks me up!!) to make a tag box all ready for giving.
Santa is so fun with his "politically correct" mode of transportation and I had fun pulling out my Prismacolor pencils for this one - it's been a while so be kind! :)
The hot pink cover of the box helped me pick out the fun non-traditional holiday colored paper from Echo Park and it was super easy to measure the box and adhere the paper to the front and back. Inside the box were 5 file cards from the same dark kraft color as the box. I cut them down a bit and used them for the tags. I used a couple of the new Cut-Ups from The Cat's Pajamas. First, the Apron Border die was used to make a cool border on the tags - I love the look of this!! Then I used the new Snowflake die to make glittery little snowflake embellishments using shrink plastic. I'll be honest here, it didn't always work great since the shrink plastic is thick and stubborn, but I found that if you use a new plate under the cutting blade and an extra piece of cardstock to thicken it up a bit the cut was clean enough that I just needed to use a craft knife on a few areas.
I used Your Gift to make 2 other tags, complete with glittery snowflakes and some Divine Twine on the top. Won't this be a fun little gift for someone - I know I never have enough tags for my gifts - seriously!!
Head over to Alma's blog for all the details and to add your project link. We're searching for this month's Swanky Stamper and it could be you!! Have a great day!
Fabulous tags Julie. Love the great images and how you stamped them on the oval... great colors also. :o)
