Summer's Simple Pleasures

Happy Kitchen Sink Stamps Monday!!  We had a great weekend.  Yesterday took my oldest, Emma (8 yrs) to her very first time at sleep-over camp.  I didn't get any calls in the night so I think that's a good sign! LOL!  She has a friend from church with her so hopefully they will help each other out.

Ok, on to the card.  On Friday, the children got it into their heads to go out back and pick blackberries.  I didn't think much of it until Ethan came in with a ton of berries in his bucket - he was so persistent and having such a great time!  The girls and I joined him and in about 30 minutes we had 5 cups of berries!!  We had the BEST blackberry cobbler for dessert - with vanilla ice cream of course!

That was it, I was inspired to make a card using Multi-Step Berries from Kitchen Sink Stamps. I stamped the yummy blackberries using

Step 3 - Elegant Eggplant (SU!)
Step 2 - Plum (Memento)
Step 1 - Elegant Eggplant (stamped off)

Leaves
Step 2 - New Leaf (Papertrey Ink)
Step 1 - Spring Moss (Papertrey Ink)
Step 3 - Always Artichoke (SU!)

Don't they look  yummy?  Please take a minute and visit the rest of the KSS Crew today and have a great Monday!

You have my mouth watering with this gorgeous card and tasty looking blackberry cobbler!! How lucky is your family to have such a talented mom!!??!

Peaches are ripening in Texas so the standard dessert here is peach cobbler with Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla!

PERFECTION! I love the story that accompanies this card. Such a beautiful memory to go along with a gorgeous card. The pearl swirls add the perfect touch.

Beautiful card Julie ... looks just as yummy as your Blackberry cobbler!!! Fabulous colors and wonderful look with the pearls & pattern paper!
Love BERRY picking, but I am so impressed that you had 5 cups in 30 mins! That wouldn't have happened if I was berry picking with you. LOL! My method of picking is .... "one in the bucket, one for me... two in the bucket, two for me ..." LOL!!! ;)
