Salt Challenge: Clothed in Christ
Today's Salt challenge comes from Lythan. Please read about her challenge on the Salt blog. She's chosen a passage from Galatians 3:23-29. I've taken the phrase Lythan pointed us to taken from vs. 27 "For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ."
In his commentary on Galatians Three, Martin Luther states, "To put on Christ according to the Gospel means to clothe oneself with the righteousness, wisdom, power, life, and Spirit of Christ.. . . With this change of garments a new birth, a new life stirs in us. New affections toward God spring up in the heart. New determinations affect our will."
I used a verse in Isaiah 61:10 for my ATC today. I love the picture that God "clothed me with the garments of salvation." Isn't that amazing?!
We'd love to have to you create along with us, just be sure and leave a link to your project!
