It's a Pink Party!

My good friend Amber asked me to make some invitations for her daughter's 5th birthday party coming up!  I just need to digress a minute and say how fast 5 years goes!! I remember when Sofia was born . . . with my Ethan coming 2 short months later and it's amazing to see how much they both have grown!   Anyway, the theme of this party is PINK! She's a little princess and since she couldn't settle on one theme they decided the theme would be pink - cute huh?! So the 2 requirements I was given were pink and candy - there's going to be a pink candy bar - yum!!

This is what I came up with.  I made a template for the wrapper ends and printed both them and the wording on my computer.  The center mat is formatted to be die cut using the 2nd to largest circle Nestabilities die.  Of course the base of the card is die cut using the largest circle Nestaibilities die.  If you'd like to make these little candies yourself, leave a comment or send me an email and I will send you a pdf - nothing too extravagant but why re-invent the wheel right?! :)

Not very much stamping here but the 3 little candies are from the Oven Fresh Gingerbread Joy set from Waltzingmouse Stamps and the cupcake is from last year's Papertrey Ink Anniversary set.  I added a bit of bling to the cupcake and some glitter to the lolli - it's all about the sparkle when you're a little girl isn't it?!

In order to make them mailable, I scored the "wrapper" ends close to the circle and folded them toward the center.  To keep it closed I made a small white bellyband and tied some ribbon around it.

I was tickled with how these turned out and I think my friend liked them so mission accomplished!!

One more quick little tidbit, thanks so much for the congrats you all sent on my GSS win in the Template category over at Papertrey Ink!  I had so much fun with the Do Me a Favor template and was just thrilled that my little box won!  You can see all the other winners and Honorable Mentions on Nichole's blog. Plus all the 3rd Anniversary release festivities have begun - how exciting!  Have a wonderful day!
