Late KSS Monday
Good evening my friends!! I'm so sorry that it's taken me all day to finally get my Kitchen Sink Stamps post up today - I had all intentions of doing it first thing this morning. Then came life . . . and well, now is the first time I've had a few minutes to take a photo and post the card! Very bad!!
Let me just first give a shout out to all the friends, new and old who joined me this weekend in Manchester, Vermont at Stamping Around VT! We had an absolutely wonderful, crafty time and I am so thankful for the amazing teachers we had who gave us such fun and diverse projects! We should be posting a recap on the Stamping Around site soon so watch for that! In the meantime, check out Julia Aston's blog to see some great pics of people and projects! Thanks Julia!
Ok, I won't take up a lot of time, but I decided to do the Featured Stamper Challenge from yesterday on SCS because this week's Featured Stamper was Shannan Teubner!! I've had the pleasure of meeting Shannan and she's just one of the nicest most talented stampers out there! Here's her gallery and here's the card I picked to case. I always thought this was a very cool card - I changed the colors and obviously the stamps I used. I used a great Kitchen Sink Stamps set called Thanks Always. I used the little heart image to stamp using Fresh Snow ink on acetate which was cut into a circle and inked around the edges. This was such a fun card to make and could be made in multiples quite easily - changing the colors for some fun variety!
Please do visit the rest of the KSS Crew to see their lovely projects! Remember when you order to use my coupon code (JULIE10KSS) for 10% off your order! Also, remember that this weekend is the big stamping weekend in Georgia - if you're in the area, check out the details here!

ReplyDeleteJulie - great card. I have just started working with kraft paper and fell in love with your card. I tried making it today and had to substitute a few things, but overall it turned out good. I enjoyed piercing the circle - had never done that before - so thanks for the great idea.
ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous, Julie! Love the stamped acetate and the pierced circle framing it.
