Prettie Hot Wednesday

It is Danielle's heat tool challenge that we are sharing for Prettie Wednesday today. She challenged us to use a heat tool, however we wanted. Hhhmmm, lots of possibilities!! What do you use your heat tool for?

I was reminded the other day of this quick and easy method of "stamping" on a candle - you know the one where you stamp on tissue paper and melt it onto the candle with a heat tool? I decided that's what I was going to do only I found this red candle in my stash and thought I'd try that out. I used white tissue and stamped my snowflakes from Snowflake Kisses (which Paper Pretties just re-released in rubber!!) using White Craft ink. I then sprinkled it with Iridescent Ice embossing powder. I wasn't sure if using the white craft ink would show on the candle once I melted it but it did!! It didn't come out completely perfect (there's a spot I need to fix where the tissue was a bit crinkled) but in under 10 minutes I had a cute little gift!! Wouldn't you love to get a pretty little candle from a friend or neighbor?! :)

I added a round tag made using the large snowflake image from Snowflake Kisses which I stamped using my Essential Glue Pad and glitter-fied. I added a pretty ginormous clear Swarovski crystal to the middle and tied it onto my candle.
