Out With the Old!

It's Monday again . . . the last one of 2008! Have you set new or updated goals for 2009? I plan on giving that some thought over this week - what do I want to accomplish this coming year? I will let you know when I figure it out! :)

I have another New Year's card for today's Kitchen Sink Stamps Monday. I realized that I hadn't made a card using the large bells from 3 Step Bells and they are just so pretty!! The set includes 2 sizes of these pretty bells and 2 different orientations (see how the shadows are on different sides?!). I used Taylor's Cupcake Challenge #48 sketch for my card - it's been a long time since I played along with her sketch challenge - the holidays have kept us all so busy! :)

It's so hard to see in the photo but there some interesting things about this card. For the background I used some Silver Glimmer Mist (part of our Stamp & Cruise goodie bags) to turn Bordering Blue paper into shimmery silver-ish paper. It is really sparkly IRL! For the strip down the side I used the Glimmer Mist again but this time sprayed it on some beautiful FREE Demi Design's digi paper designed by Becky Oehlers. It is so beautiful - I will definitely be using it again soon! The ribbon layered over it just softens the whole look I think. The sentiment is embossed with silver embossing powder.
