Prettie Movin' Wednesday
Wednesday already?!! Yup, and it was a fun one! Two weeks ago Charmaine challenged us to make an interactive card - something has to move or do something on the card. Hhhmmm, what to make?? I went to SCS and starting looking through the Resource page until I came to this, a Spiral Pop-Up card.
I pulled out the very first Paper Pretties set, Snowflake Kisses (anyone remember the Search for Snowflake??!). This set will be re-released in fabulous rubber on December 1st - yea!! I got some yummy new paper from Rusty Pickle that I thought would be a bit different with this image - love the colors!!
The snowflake is made with the Marvvy Snowflake punch we received in our Cruise goodie bags. I punched it out of River Rock CS and then embossed it with Iridescent Ice EP. The Bella pearl finished it off (hey can I use this card again next week for Jessie's challenge - lol!?).
Here are a few shots of the inside. I used made 3 more snowflakes, but this time I embossed both sides of them since you see both sides when you open the card.
I stamped the snowflake cluster on the inside as well as the sentiment. It's hard to see from this picture but I stamped the sentiment in black ink and then again with River Rock - slightly off so that it gives a faux embossed look. Here's a close-up of the snowflakes - really just because I like the picture! :)
So, did you give it a try? Why not try one now, this was fun and easy to do!! I know my girls will love it!! Please be sure to visit the rest of the Pretties Girls to see what kind of interactive cards they dreamed up - I can't wait to see! Have a great day!!
Cardstock: River Rock, Cranberry Crisp, True Thyme, Very Vanilla (SU!), Patterned Paper: White Christmas collection (Rusty Pickle), Stamps: Snowflake Kisses (Paper Pretties), Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento), River Rock (SU!), Versamark, Accessories: Snowflake Punch (Marvvy), Dimensionals, Iridenscent Ice EP, Watercolor Wonder Crayons, Aquapainter (SU!)
