Beautiful Butterflies
The weeks is flying folks!! I have a cute, easy little Queen Kat Designs card to share today. The main project I worked on with my October Royal Kit hasn't been shown yet but there were a few goodies in it that I saved for a card. I never would have thought of it myself, but the kit included a couple of iron on images that were so fun to play with - great idea Vicki!! They are nice and thick and velvety, they add great texture to the card!
I started with some Bazzill black cardstock which I cut to make my card 7" x 3.75". I then ironed the long strip down the left side - isn't it striking?! To make the stamped images (from the QKD set, Friends) visible on black I embossed them using white embossing powder. To finish the card, I rounded the 2 corners and added one of the cute black & white epoxy buttons that comes in the kit (I just love them!) (oh and I backed it with a white felt flower to make it pop!!). How simple is that? but dramatic huh?!
Be sure to check out the Queen Kat website - they just had a huge release on Saturday night, 10 new sets!! You can see them all here, isn't that froggy adorable and look at the neat sentiment sets!! Remember to use my special discount code to receive 10% off your order - it's 10JM.
Enjoy the day friends!!
