Prettie Faux Metal

A couple of week's ago at the Paper Pretties Stamping in Your Jammies party, Charmaine challenged us to use a technique we had never tired. There were soooo many to choose from (go browse around SCS's Resource page)! I chose to make a card using Faux Metal.

I used Simply Special for my card and some pretty Chatterbox paper - love the colors!! So basically you take a piece of paper and push it onto your Versamark pad getting it completely covered. Then you sprinkle on the embossing powder - in this case silver. Heat emboss it and then while it's still hot dip it back into the embossing powder. Repeat this process 2-4 times and after heating the last time quickly and carefully stamp your stamp into the warm silver. It's so cool to lift your stamp and the see the impression! I just cut it out, added a paper flower and finished up my card. Lot of fun!!
