Cupcake Challenge

TGIF!! It's been just a beautiful day here in Maine - slightly cool but sunny, very Fall-ish! I'll post some pics tomorrow of our day apple picking along with a pic of the scrumptious apple pie the girls and I made this afternoon . . . delish!!

But for now, I have Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #34. I have been waiting for a couple of days to see the sketch because I had an idea I wanted to try - I wondered if I could take Taylor's adorable set Trick or Sweet and create a non-Halloween card with it. I'm tickled with the result!! I used the little witch cupcake but masked off her broom and finished her cape using a black fine tip marker. I also drew curls all through her hair and a ribbon flowing off her hat - viola!! A princess!! My daughters saw this and instantly had to do their own version - lol! They love this set and have colored a bunch of their own cupcakes already! :)

I think this would be a cute little birthday invitation for a girly girl pary. The floral paper is some fun Paper Salon paper, Petite Posies - and you have 1 more day to get this for 40% off over at Paper Pretties! There are also coordinating papers, alphabet stickers and rubons. The line is called Hip Hip Hooray. Use coupon code "Paper Salon" when checking out.

Have a great weekend everyone - get out and do something fun! :)

Cardstock: Pretty In Pink, (SU!), White (GP), Patterned Paper: Petite Posies (Paper Salon), Purple dot (Making Memories), Stamps: Trick or Sweet (Taylored Expressions), Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento), Accessories: Flower paper strip (Doodlebug), Nestabilities, sewing machine, Swarovski crystals, Dazzling Diamonds glitter (SU!), Copic markers, slot punch
