KSS Butterflies!

Do you love butterflies?? Do I have the set for you! Introducing 3 Step Butterflies from Kitchen Sink Stamps. I was a little bit scared about working with this set, I just wasn't sure if I was a butterfly-type person, kwim? So earlier in the week I sat down at the table, put Rachmaninoff on the iPod (aaahhhh!) and stamped into the wee hours . . . it was fabulous and I discovered I LOVE this 3 Step Butterfly set!! It was so easy to make beautiful butterflies in every color of the rainbow. The set has them in several sizes and orientations (some straight on, some flying).

I've had this beautiful Webster's Pages paper just waiting for the chance to use it!! It's a bit of a different style thank I usually do but I love it! I had so much fun adding layers and texture and embellishments! It's hard to see from the photo but the butterfly is done with the 3 step stamp (Step 1 - Platinum Planet Brilliance, Step 2 - Bashful Blue, Step 3 - Soft Sky), then layered with a light layer of Carrera Marble glitter from Martha Stewart. This particular glitter is not quite as sparkly as others - it has a somewhat frosted type appearance, a bit more subtle - which is what I wanted here. I also added some wire for the antennae with little clear Swarovski beads on the ends. The card was stitched all around the edge before adding the pretty Melissa France lace.

The sentiment is from another new KSS set called Vintage Words. This will be a set I use a lot - wonderful choice of words and font!!

I have more to share . . . another day! Have a great weekend everyone! :)
