Monday , Monday . .

Good Morning! What a nice weekend we enjoyed here! We were able to get more gardening and yard work done and several other little projects around that house that were overdue! We also took the children to the cemetery where my husband's grandparents are buried to leave some flowers. We started doing this a couple of years ago and I am so glad! I think it's important to teach our children to respect and honor their heritage. The cemetery they are buried in is one of the prettiest I've ever seen. The back of it (where his grandparents are buried) has a view of the river which runs to the ocean just a mile or so away, it's a beautiful spot! (you can click on the picture to make it bigger).

So, we may just be the worst children ever . . . we forgot my in-laws anniversary last week!! I just don't know why but I have the hardest time every year remembering it - and my husband has no clue when his own parent's annivesary is!!! (is that common to most men??). Anyway, I feel so badly!! I hope this card can in a very small way make up for our forgetfulness.

I used a couple of Kitchen Sink Stamps for this card, Playful Hearts and Forever and Always.
I stamped the solid heart image using white Craft ink and Berry Sorbet on Papertrey's new Kraft paper (like it a lot!). I wanted to make this a pretty simple card, which is sometimes a bit tricky! I fiddled with the placement and embellishments for quite a while - lol! :)

Have you visited the Kitchen Sink blog yet to read about the new contest?! You can win stamps - send in your entries!! Plus, on Maria's blog she's showing sneak peeks every day this week of the 8 (YES 8!) new sets this month! I received my sets this weekend and LOVE them so much - really there are some fun fun sets!! :) Have a great day everyone!

Cardstock: Kraft, Berry Sorbet (Papertrey Ink), Stamps: Playful Hearts, Forever and Always (Kitchen Sink Stamps), Inks: Palette Noir, Berry Sorbet (Papertrey Ink), White (SU! Craft), Accessories: Swarovski crystals, Berry Sorbet Grosgrain (Papertrey Ink), corner rounder punch

  2. You think that's bad, my DH doesn't even know when his parents birthdays are. I had to write them down when I first started dating him so I wouldn't forget!! Beautiful card!!
