Another Baby Card
Good morning! I hope you all had a good weekend! We got a lot done around here! We are slowly getting all those projects done that we've been avoiding . . . you know the ones right? But what a great feeling to get them done!
I needed another baby card for a new baby at church and thought it would be the perfect chance to play with some new paper I got, as well as the Playful Alphabet and Alphabet Buddy from Kitchen Sink Stamps. What fun these alphabets are! The letters are the perfect size and so easy to line up if you want to stamp the solid one first and then the "Playful" one on top. The letters were super easy to cut out too. It was such a fun card to make. I used my Cuttlebug star dies to cut out chipboard starts, cover them with paper and then add letters for the baby's name. The "welcome" is from Never a Loss 4 Words.
The paper is from Making Memories Animal Crackers Jack line that I got from Emma's Paperie (using that shopping spree I won a couple of weeks ago with this card - yippy!!). This particular paper has cut out stars in it, very neat!
One other fun little element is the white layer - I wanted to mirror the points of the stars but didn't have any scissors that would work so I used one of my punches. I used the photo corner punch but you could use punch that has a square corner. I just marked the punch on the underside with a Sharpie so that I had 1/4" on each side (make sense?? no, ok here's a pic). Then I put my paper in lining up the 2 dots I made on the edge of the paper and punched all the way down the edge. It really wasn't as hard I the directions make it seem - lol! I love the fun deep ric rak edge I got!
Now who wants to win some stamps??!! Go check out the fun new contest, What's Cook'n With Your Kitchen Sink Stamps
