April 29 - Global Anti-Word Verification Day!
Ok, I had to put this here . . . Saw this on Allison's blog this morning. Today is now Global Anti-Word Verification Day (totally made up new day by Julie - (click on the link to read her post).
I don't know about you but I think Blogger's word verifications have gotten much tougher!! Yesterday I found myself having to try 3 and 4 times before I got the right "answer" to post my comment. What a pain! Now I just love you all and really like to leave you comments but why or why do we need WV?? Take a tip from Julie and enable comment moderation if you have a problem with spammers. Seems like Typepad people have it more often and it just takes so long to click through the hoops.
Ok, end of rant . . . . Sorry - but since someone else put it so well, I had to share! :)
that is too cool, I had put on word verification when I started getting posting links to virsus but think comment moderation is th eway to go. Glad to hear it is not just me that has to type in a verification 3 or 4 times.
ReplyDeleteCheers, Jules!! Thank you so much for your support!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, I was just saying the same thing to my hubby the other day.

ReplyDeleteI am Michelles Hubby and I agree. The best way is to actually have a word verification instead of some random smudged letters
ReplyDeleteI agree 100%. The comments from my blog are emailed to me and so I know if something weird shows up right away. It isn't a big deal to remove it. But, I don't have too many comments so it might be a pain if you get tons like some bloggers out there.
ReplyDeleteThat is too funny. I have actually given up on a few comments lately because I can not get the right code. Hope you didn't wash away with all of this rain! -Molly B
ReplyDeleteOkay, so I am not imagining it, it HAS gotten harder, I thought I was losing it - LOL! I took it off my blog since it has become such a pain!!

OH, Julie...I'll see if I can figure out how to do that...I'm really quite challenged making changes...but I hate the word verification too!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree, Julie!!
ReplyDeleteI am so with you on this! I hate those things.
ReplyDeleteoh, I missed this! I would have posted it on my blog (I don't like word verif either) would rather make it easier for commenters (and me spend the extra 2 seconds to moderate the comments) than waste people's time to keep trying to verify the letters/numbers!
