Prettie Wednesday 3/26

Hello! Is it Wednesday already?? It's hard to believe how quickly a week can fly by! Two weeks ago it was my turn to challenge my fellow Prettie Girls and I chose chipboard (again - lol!). I was having so much fun with these great Maya Road Chipboard Blossoms it only seemed natural!

Here is my card for the challenge, a bit bright, huh?? I used Julee's Mojo Monday Sketch #29 and some of my new American Crafts paper - so bright and summery! I also used one of my new Sell-A-Bration sets, Friendship Blooms which seemed to go well with the flowers.

Be sure to check out all the other Prettie Girls' blogs to see what they came up with! And remember Joanne's challenge last week was to use masking in some way - fun!!

Here's a quick run down of how I covered my chipboard for this card. First, the red flower is flocked. I used my Essential Glue Pad and red flocking from Stampendous. It's pretty straight-forward. I added some glue to my glue pad and then pushed the chipboard right onto the pad. Then I dumped the flocking on the flower and patted it down with my fingers to make sure it was really stuck. The flocking is really fun but a little messy - I had little flecks of red flocking all over the place - lol!

Embossing is almost the same process only using a Versamark pad and embossing powder. I used some light blue ep that I've had forever and only used about 2 times. I covered my flower twice with the powder to make sure that there was a nice thick coat on it.

Today's is Charmaine's turn to challenge us, wonder what she's got in mind? Have a great day!!
