More Felt Papertrey
I just had to come back after I finished this card today! :) After the Count Your Blessings card yesterday I was inspired to work a bit more with felt - it adds such great texture to a card! I had My Punny Valentine out and decided to use the cute little squirrel.
It actually was easier than I thought. I stamped the squirrel with Burnt Umber Palette ink on some tan felt and then cut it out. Then I decided I needed a "girl" squirrel on my card so I followed the same proceedure only this squirrel was flipped over so "she's" lighter since the inked side is on the back. Does she need a little flower in her hair? Lol!
Finding eyes for them was a bit of a puzzle but I finally decided on some Doodlebug paper flower centers (you know those white beads on a long stem) colored brown with a Copic marker. The branch they are sitting on is from Take a Bough and I used the new Aqua Mist and Spring Moss colors of ink, paper and a piece of the new patterned paper all from Papertrey Ink. To add bit of color I stamped the acorn with Ruby Red ink.
Thanks for coming back! We're getting a big snowstorm today so the family is just all hanging out together staying warm!
