More Charms & Jules Jewels
Here are a few more pictures of the stemware charms I made (be sure to check out the tutorial in the post below). Once I got going I couldn't stop! They were so easy and fun to string up different combinations of beads!
I also tried using the words that come in the Love & Luck set. I used my scalloped circle punch for SU! to punch it out and I think it made a very nice sized charm!
Finally, I tried a couple with a St. Patrick's day theme. The four leaf "clover" in this set is so pretty and I found that it too fits perfectly in the SU! scalloped circle punch. I think these look so neat on the white - it's a nice stark contrast and the green is so bright!
I've got a couple more projects to post this week using PolyShrink - so fun stuff so be sure to check back! Ok so who wants to give this a try?!! I've got some Jules Jewels to give away. Maria will be sending one lucky person a Love & Luck set of their own and I will send them some supplies, some PolyShrink, a bit of wire and a few beads so that you can try it yourself!
To enter, leave a comment on this post - give me your ideas for using PolyShrink and Love & Luck. What would you make? I'll draw the winner on Thursday before I leave for CHA! (Who else is going?? I'd love to meet you all - let me know if you'll be there!)
Julie: What a great idea and what an awesome gift a set of those would make!
ReplyDeleteJulie, those are beautiful! Love that idea...girl you rock! Have fun at CHA!!
ReplyDeleteJulie, those charms are great. Your colors are perfect. I think it would be neat to make holiday tags for pets collars with Polyshrink and these stamps would be awesome. -Molly B
ReplyDeleteOh!!! I love these! I want to make some for St.Patty's being the Irish folk that we are :)
ReplyDeleteI love these. Gotta try these! They would make a great gift. How about charms for a key chain? Also I think kids would love making charms for a bracelet or a necklace.
ReplyDeleteThese are great!! I am so jealous that you're going to CHA! But I'm more happy for you than jealous.....I think. LOL
ReplyDeleteThis combines 2 of the crafts that I would love to learn more about. I have never strung beads and I have tried to use shrink plastic with stamps, but never very successful. Thanks for the opportunity.

These are ALL adorable, Julie! LOVE them! Now you're set for every occasion! LOL
ReplyDeleteHow pretty! I bet you could make a necklace with the set also. Have fun at CHA.

What a cute idea! How about using them for zipper pulls for a child's coat or on a zipper for a backpack!
ReplyDeleteThese are so pretty. Some of my ideas would be charms for every holiday, earrings, bracelets, key chains, charm for your purse...ok I could go on and on. Have a great time at CHA and thanks for a chance.

This is such a super idea. Now why didn't I think of that? I think I would use the set to make myself some St. Patrick's day earrings...I'm always forgetting to wear green!
ReplyDeleteThese are sooooo cute!! I think they would look really cute as a pet tag on their collar. Have fun at CHA!
ReplyDeleteThese are so cute! I can see them as charms on a little girl's bracelet or as a key chain, or as a pin! Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteHi Julie,
ReplyDeleteWhat about earrings? Michael's and A.C. Moore sell the wire hoops - you could make some nice dangle style earrings using the polyshrink and the KSS Love & Luck hearts. Or a charm bracelet using some stretch cord and beads with polyshrink stamped charms dangling from the bracelet?
Thanks for the chance to win this set - I love it!
~Meredith
cute cute cute!!! Nice idea. See you at CHA (can hardly wait!)
ReplyDeleteOMG!!! I have to have this set!!! My family is crazy about St. Patrick's Day. It is a bigger celebration than Christmas in our house. We go all out and throw a huge party...with traditional Irish food, everythings green, Irish blessings... the works!! I would use this set for stamping invitations, paper cups, and paper plates, and then make some polyshrink charms for in the scrapbook for all the photos I took! This would be so cool!!

How amazing are these!!! What a great gift idea. Thanks for sharing and swesome giveaway.

What a cute project! I'd make some charms for a charm bracelet. Or maybe for a pair of earrings to wear. That would be fab.
ReplyDeletethese are so cute! I have been wanting to make charms & put on a bracelet for a while just haven't gotten around to do it yet! I'd love to win this set...I love these stamps
ReplyDeleteI'd like to make some hair embellishments for my niece and a couple of pins. Your projects are awesome.
ReplyDeleteTeresa
I love these! I just started making necklaces so I really love the use for the beads. I think you could make some nice looking key chains or charms to put on purses maybe.
ReplyDeleteJanelle
Hey- zipper pulls would be so cute, but I love what you did with the ones you made. That set would be so cute on a tag: I make tags out of cardstock and then add a little charm to them- and they are adorable. I can see these on them SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO cute. Thanks for sharing!

WOW; beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat gift ideas. I love the idea of zipper pulls and another way to embellish cards. Wow, opens up a lot of ideas. If I knew about this sooner, I would have made wine glass charms for our Super Bowl Party.
ReplyDeleteLove these! I made a set for my sister for Christmas using a wine stamp from Crafty Secrets. Yours are soooooo cute!
ReplyDeleteThese charms are AWESOME! Thank you so much for sharing this idea! AS for another idea, I just keep thinking of making little charms for the kids zippers or shoes. I look forward to reading everyone else's ideas which I am sure will be much better than mine!
ReplyDeleteMy idea would be to use the stamp set and shrinks for jewelry...what girl doesn't love some jewelry... These charms are simply beautiful! You are talented, no doubt.
ReplyDeleteThese are really awesome, Julie!! I love them!!
ReplyDeleteVery kewl! I did have one additional idea for them... if there is a hole in them, put them thru a keychain, so you'd have love charms on loved ones key chains! ;) thanks. bluemoonbynite@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteOooh, a zipper pull or earrings would be nice!
ReplyDeleteI am thinking it ould be fun to make light/fan pulls with these charms!

Don't wanna miss out on any Jules Jewels!! ;-) Another idea is making bracelets...especially for kids! And even let the kids help make them!! I remember doing Shrinky Dinks as a kid and I loved them!! Talk to you soon!
ReplyDeleteOHMYGOSH, could those get any cuter?! I love them. How about a charm for our cell phone?

What would I make? I can't get past your adorable glass charms! I want to make some!!!!!! I've never tried Polyshrink but I can see I'm gonna have to! Thanks for the fun!!!
ReplyDeleteI've made shrink art charms also and think they are much fun. I've also made some zipper charms and little charms for cards.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the ideas and have fun at CHA.
Great idea! You can also use them as scissor charms. I have seen these at workshops where people have some beeds and charms hanging off of their scissors so that they can distinguish which is theirs.

The stem charms are so cute! I would make my granddaughter some barettes, make a heart charm for my cell phone, and some little charms to hang from cards.
ReplyDeleteI used to play with Shrinky Dinks all the time when I was growing up. I have to give this grown up version a try--what a great gift they'd make!
ReplyDeleteThose are some of the prettiest wine charms I ahve ever seen. Nice job Julie :D Purple is my fave
ReplyDeleteHow about making some charms to dangle off of bookmarks, or fan/light pulls? For ornamental buttons only, I bet you could glue some polyshrunk (? is that a word) charms on top of flat topped buttons after the buttons are sewn in place.
ReplyDeleteJulie ~ This is such a neat idea and what a great gift set!!! As always you ROCK!!!
ReplyDeleteYou could make buttons... and you can get a punch that will punch two holes at once.
ReplyDeleteHello, AMAZING IDEA, other idea can be like charm in a bracelet.. i hope you do that =)
