Thomas Kincaid Mojo
Good afternoon! Sorry for the late post . . . so much going on here today! I finally broke down and ordered a couple Thomas Kincaid stamps from Cornish Heritage Farms. I have held off for so long because they scared me - I mean only a few people can color them and have them come out nice, right?? Well then I started seeing the most beautiful cards done in monochromatic colors and so I decided to give it a try!
I tried a couple of different colors and they all looked nice but LOVE the red - it just speaks to me! LOL! This card is for Julee's Mojo Monday #13 and uses SU!'s Cherise paper, Basic Black, Very Vanilla and Ruby Red cardstock. The sentiment is from the Holiday Wishes set from Papertrey Ink. The only thing I colored on this image is the lights in the windows and their reflectons. It gives it a very pretty, soft look. The tabs on the end are made with Vanilla Taffeta ribbon and black brads. I really love this look and definitely will be making more (I also bought the Skater's Pond stamp).
It's a big day for me too as I'm thrilled and honored that I am featured on 2 fabulous blogs today!! The multi-talented Colleen Schaan emailed and asked if she could "blog" me as the Featured Artist on her blog Distinctive Touches - how exciting! Check out her great post here and while you're there look around, Colleen makes beautiful cards, has wonderful tutorials and some great features on her blog - a favorite of mine is Throwdown Thursday when she challenges us with a new technique or a sketch or other great project! I love to do them when I get a chance!
The second site is Crafts on a Whim . Andrea has featured some awesome blogging crafters like Charmaine, Alli & Taylor - so I was so excited when she asked me a few weeks ago if I would be her Featured Crafter. Be sure to check out all the other great information on the site - there is so much!
So thank you Colleen and Andrea - you both brightened my world a bit this week! And thanks to everyone out there who reads, I really do appreciate you all! My new stamping space is under construction - yippy! I'll keep you posted on the progress but I just cannot wait to "move!" Have a great weekend everyone!
