My First House Mouse
So my good friend and owners of Paper Pretties Christie Ortman sent me some adorable House Mouse images in my last package of goodies. I have to say that I was a bit afraid of them at first - no not that they are mice (I got over that fear when I lived alone and HAD to catch mice or be overrun by them! LOL!) - but the images are sooo detailed and so tiny it seemed like a lot to color. Since I don't consider myself a fabulous colorer (is that a word?) I let them sit for a few days. Today I could resist no longer!! They are just too adorable!
This little scene makes me smile, I just love that little bunny and the teeny, tiniest mouse holding up his end of the carrot - how cute!! It did take a little bit of time to color but then I made that time up with a card design since the image basically took up the whole card! I'm pretty happy with it too! I matted the image on Bashful Blue cardstock and the card is Close to Cocoa. I used some of my new Chocolate Taffeta from SU! - love it!! Just to add a little touch I added Crystal Effects to the carrots on the seed bag.
Go take a look at all the House Mouse and Happy Hopper stamps available in the Corner Store. This stamp is not there, but if you would like it or any other House Mouse stamp not in the store I know Christie would be happy to order them for you! Give them a try, I think you'll be glad you did!!!
Hope you all are having a great Wednesday! Thanks for stopping in!
Great job! I know what you mean about coloring the detail --- I like to color big images myself. The CE on the seed bag is a cute touch!
