Card #3

This is the last of my Stamping in your Jammies cards. The challenge was a sparkle challenge so I decided I had to use Jammibella. Now I didn't actually finish this card that night because I had to feed the baby but I got up the next morning and finished just to finish, you know? :)

So, I have this great paper from a DCWV glitter stack that I won in a blog candy from Jane that I've been meaning to use that seemed perfect for this. I wanted to make her jammy bottoms out of the paper so I used a black marker to only ink the outlines (the stamp has flowers on her jammies) and paper piece them. I used my 2 way glue pen and some new Martha Stewart turquoise glitter for her top and Dazzling Diamond glitter for her slippers and her collar. We should all have such fancy jammies don't you think?! :)

The purple paper is also the DCWV paper. The sentiment is from Papertray from Papertrey Ink. I also cut out some of the flowers and mounted them with glue dots to give the corners some interest. The ribbon is some I recently got from Taylor.

I got some great mail yesterday! Look at this stash of goodies . . . . I won fabulous blog candy from Dianne. There were so many neat things in the box I just couldn't believe it!! I can't wait to have time to play with some of them!!! But I am committed to getting those birth announcements done once and for all - so no playing yet! :) Thanks for the great treats Diane!

Also, I forgot to thank Jen del Muro a couple of weeks ago for her blog candy that I won! She sent me a brand new Flourishes stamp set. I haven't had time to use it yet, but am hoping to soon. Thanks so much Jen!! Interestingly, Jen's was one of the first blogs I started reading before I started my own, I love her style!
That's all for today. Thanks for all the well wishes for Emma! I think her face is starting to get better. We're just kind of waiting it out. I washed all her bedding yesterday and we gave the puppy a bath Sunday so maybe it just has to work it's way out. We'll keep you posted.

Have a great day!

  7. Hey Julie, I love your card, so cute. I had to leave a comment after reading about Emma. Chelsea is highly allergic to poison ivy. She gets covered in a rash and her face has actually swollen so badly that her eyes are almost closed. Anyway, she has got it from dogs a few times. She just has to be very careful around dogs and always wash her hands after petting them. Harder to do with a 5 year old! Hope your summer is going well! Dara
